Omega Diagnostics Company
Omega Diagnostics Group (UK Company) is focused on selling a wide range of specialist products, primarily in the immunoassay, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) market within three segments: Allergy and Autoimmune, Food Intolerance and Infectious Disease.
Generally, Omega products classify as below:
AVITEX>Latex Agglutination Test
AVITEX® is a range of latex serology tests featuring an easy-to-use 'NO SERUM DILUTION' test format. AVITEX® Autoimmunity products are standardised against recognised standards, where appropriate, to ensure the correct serological activity, sensitivity and specificity. Positive and negative controls are included to monitor the performance of the assays. Different pack sizes make the products convenient for large and small laboratories.
This group of products includes:
RF: rapid latex agglutination test kit for the detection of Rheumatoid Factor (RF) in human serum. With 8 IU/ml detection limit
CRP: rapid latex agglutination test kit for the detection of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in human serum. With 6 IU/ml detection limit
ASO: a rapid latex agglutination test for the detection of anti-streptolysin-O (ASO) antibodies in human serum. ASO antibodies are produced in response to an infection with haemolytic streptococci. With 200 IU/ml detection limit.
SLE: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) has been defined as a prototypic autoimmune disease. The antibodies most associated with SLE are those directed against deoxyribonucleoprotein (DNP) a clear agglutination is seen within 1 minute.
IM: rapid latex agglutination test kit for the detection of the heterophile antibody associated with Infectious Mononucleosis in human serum.
BETATEX: a latex pregnancy test that utilises a direct agglutination technique to detect human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) in urine. With 0.2 IU/ml detection limit
MICROPATH : a range of stained bacterial antigen suspensions for use in slide or tube agglutination assays to detect, identify and quantitate antibody levels from patients with suspected Salmonella, Brucella or Rickettsial infections. Somatic antigens (Group O) are stained blue and Flagellar antigens (Group H) are stained red for identification and ease of reading.
IMMUTREP: a range of serological tests for screening and confirmation of Syphilis infection. From the classical VDRL Antigen to RPR and USR Antigen, there are several formats that provide a cost effective method for clinics and laboratories. To complete the package, a low cost Rotator is available for use with the IMMUTREP® -RPR test kits.
AVIPATH STREP: latex agglutination test kit which identifies the clinically important Lancefield Groups A, B, C, D, F and G Streptococci antigens.
